Zilian undertakes to only collect, process, store, transfer or delete your personal data with transparency, and when this proves essential to provide you with the best services.
We will try to explain how we use your personal data and for what purposes, with the guarantee that we collect, share and keep your personal data observing the best practices in the field of security and protection of personal data.

The use and protection of the Customer’s personal data under the responsibility of Zilian comply with European legislation on the protection of personal data, in particular the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679.
1. Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
The processor of personal data is Zilian Ibérica, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, headquartered at Av. António Augusto de Aguiar 29-D, 1050-251 Lisbon, with a share capital of € 1.187.000,00
2. What personal data can Zilian collect?
In this context, the term "personal data" means the set of information that relates to you and which allows us to identify you, directly or indirectly, so your personal data can consist, for example, in your name, your taxpayer number, your contacts, your transactions and your interactions with us.
We may also collect your personal data from other companies, including when they collect, process or store it under a service contract.
Zilian may receive the following types of personal data:
a) Customer data (name and tax identification number) when you purchase our products or services or when you place store orders
b) Data of users who place online purchases:
- Customer identification data - name, email, address, taxpayer number and telephone contact;
- Credit card data - name of card holder, card number, validity and security code - when you pay by credit card;
- Customer data for home delivery - name, address, postal code, telephone contact, e-mail, purchase details - when you request the purchase’s home delivery.
c) Customer data for after-sales services - name, address, postal code, telephone contact, e-mail, purchase details, warranty of the article - when you request the repair/arrangement of an article or make a complaint;
d) Recording of calls, e-mails or chats for remote contacts - when you contact the Customer support team.
3. How and why does Zilian use my personal data?
Zilian does it for the following purposes:
a) Marketing: to inform you about news and offers that may be of interest to you;
b) Transactions: to issue invoices for the acquisition of goods and services;
c) Home delivery;
d) Customer support contacts: to be able to provide a support service, before and after sales;
e) Warranties and after-sales support: to enable you to access the repair services of the items you have purchased with warranty and their repair or replacement;
f) Service management: to be able to provide the service you have hired from us, for example, alerts or requests for the availability of product stock.
4. How long will Zilian keep my personal data?
We will preserve your personal data only for as long as necessary to meet the purposes set out in section 7.3. and to comply with the legislation in force. Once the maximum period of preservation has been reached, your personal data will be anonymized or deleted safely.
5. With whom can Zilian share its customers’ personal data?
Mainly, Zilian’s third party service providers, namely companies involved in the process of purchase and management of collections, transportation, storage, marketing, website hosting and banking entities.
Zilian subcontracts appropriate service providers, who can process the data solely for the purposes stipulated by Zilian, complying with the legislation on protection of personal data, and other applicable. Only the personal data necessary for the provision of the service in question is made available to these companies.
To the extent required by law, we may have to disclose your personal data to authorities or third parties, in which case our control over how your personal data is protected is limited.
6. Can Zilian transfer my data to countries outside the European Union?
This will only happen in the case of legitimate interest of the data subject, maintaining the same level of protection guarantee.
7. How does Zilian ensure the security of customer data?
Zilian has a number of information security measures, in line with the best national and international best practices, in order to protect your personal data, including administrative, technical, physical measures and procedures that ensure the protection of your personal data, preventing its improper use, unauthorized access and disclosure, loss, improper or inadvertent alteration, or unauthorized destruction.
The following are examples of measures:
a) Restricted access to your personal data only by those who need it for the purposes described above;
b) Storage and transfer of personal data only in a secure manner;
c) Protection of information systems through devices that prevent unauthorized access to your personal data;
d) Redundancy of storage equipment, processing and communication of personal data, to avoid loss of availability.
8. Why do we use cookies and how do we guarantee your privacy?
Cookies are small text files sent to your computer or mobile device when you visit websites. They improve the performance and experience of the customers' browsing, allowing to store and retrieve information about your browsing habits in order to customize the navigation according to your frequent choices.
Cookies collected by Zilian do not allow to identify the user, as they store only generic information, namely the form and/or place of access and the way websites are used. Thus, they only absorb information related to the user’s preferences.

9. How can I exercise my Data Protection Rights?
Subject to certain circumstances, you have the right to access or request us to:

d) Your personal data;
e) Erase your personal data;
f) Provide a channel to challenge decisions that have been based on your personal data.

h) Not subject you to individual and automated decisions;
i) You also have the right to withdraw or change, at any time, the consent you have given us to use your personal data.
The exercise of these rights is removed when your personal data is used to safeguard public interest, especially in cases of criminal investigation and prevention.
