This is Team Zilian! How to stay inspired (and motivated!) while at home.
We want to give a face to a team that - like so many others at the moment - works separately but is more united than ever. Zilian is a brand made up of people for people. We believe in the power of community and we're sure that everything will be fine. At this crossroads where we question ourselves about everything (often without an answer), we try not to lack motivation. This is also a time for reflection on the way forward, in which the voice of the Zilian community is very important.
We look forward to celebrating individuality with you again. To share the pride of being a brand designed, created and produced in Portugal. Let's get down to work and work on our future, and for that it's important to stay calm and motivated. That's how we've been cultivating (good!) energy. How about you?
InspirationThe good thing about doing what we love is that there is no physical space that limits our desire to do more - and better - for our beloved Zilian community! In these more demanding times than ever, we will continue to create the shoes that we believe will make a difference in the footsteps along the way. To do this, we count on the support of our suppliers, whom we respect so much, and this great team that is the Zilian family!
A trickAs for homework (which I don't love 😋), I always do it with music or podcasts in my ears. I try to do one walk a day or "live" classes with them, so we can exercise in a fun way (yoga and dance were the first!).
Inspiration: I stick to my daily routine! I wake up very early, have a good breakfast, read the news and start working as if I wasn't at home! Although the times demand new ways of working, staying focused on the same routine is the way I find in this phase of maximum demand! Being able to devote more time to my children and provide different moments is the other side of the coin!
A trickI' ve been cooking! It's real therapy.
A trick: I'm a person of routines, so I've opted for the usual working week, although without the obligation to take the kids to school. I try not to watch TV or the news during the day so that we don't get anxious and the children nervous.
A trickThese days have been make-up free and without pressure. I've chosen my essentials and I'm sticking to the routine.
Inspiration: In order not to get bored, I shaved my hair at the beginning of this quarantine (something I hadn't done since childhood), change fills us with strength!
A trick: I try to keep my health up to date, I've started going for walks with my girlfriend and I'm going to start running for an hour a day (always respecting safety measures).
Inspiration: Great battles are only given to great warriors, this is one more and together we're going to win it.
A trick: Wearing my Zilian's every day is like real therapy: not only because it leaves me instantly inspired, but it also helps me maintain my self-esteem.
Inspiration: I try to find comfort and motivation with activities that give me pleasure and that we usually don't have so much time to accomplish.
Inspiration: It's important to find a space in our home that is pleasant and comfortable, so that working remains healthy and enjoyable, without ever lacking determination. Working near a window, placing a beautiful arrangement of flowers nearby, are some of my suggestions.
Inspiration: There is a great deal of uncertainty about what the next few days, weeks or even months will be like. The only certainty is that this obligation to slow down is an opportunity to stop and think. It's an opportunity to enjoy quieter moments that allow us to reconnect.
A trick: Around here, the main motivation for staying at home in quarantine is undoubtedly my children, a two-year-old and one who is due to be born next week. At such an uncertain time, inspiration and creativity are essential, especially to entertain a child who doesn't understand what's going on and is locked up at home.
